Report for August 15, 2026
Colorado Springs School Illness Watch
Snapshot as of August 15, 2026
Summary
No material change since the last check on August 14, 2026. Statewide respiratory illness activity (COVID-19, flu, RSV) remains Very Low, per CDPHE's weekly update (still last refreshed 8/12/2026 — no new weekly release yet; next expected Wednesday). ED-visit and lab-positivity figures are identical to the prior check. Wastewater SARS-CoV-2 detections ticked up slightly (6→9 of 21 utilities rising) on recalculation, but this doesn't change the overall Very Low activity level. El Paso County's communicable disease dashboard is also unchanged (last refreshed 8/12/2026), and the county's "What's Going Around" bulletin remains discontinued — its most recent issue is still the one from September 20, 2025. Nothing new to act on today.
