CDPHE: wastewater uptick El Paso County unchanged

Something changed today, though it's a mild signal, not a level jump. CDPHE's weekly illness data (ED visits, sentinel lab positivity) is still on its 9/9/2026 update and unchanged from the prior check, with overall respiratory activity in Colorado holding at Very Low. But wastewater surveillance — which updates more often, on Wednesdays and Fridays — ticked up: SARS-CoV-2 is now rising in 10 of 21 monitored utilities (up from 8), and RSV showed up in wastewater for the first time this check (1 of 21 utilities, up from 0). El Paso County's dashboard is unchanged (still dated 9/9/2026), and the "What's Going Around" bulletin remains discontinued (no issue since Sept. 20, 2025).

Illness-data "Last Update" shown on the dashboard: 9/9/2026 (unchanged; next refresh due ~9/16). Wastewater data updates Wednesdays and Fridays, which explains the change here even though the illness-data date didn't move. Deltas above are compared to yesterday's check.

Communicable Disease Data Dashboard: reverified today. Last updated: September 9, 2026 (unchanged from yesterday's check). Updates the second Wednesday of each month (next: Oct. 14). No headline case-count spikes surfaced on the dashboard's summary view.
